Target audience

A target audience is a particular group at which a product such as a film or advertisement is aimed. The target audience for our film would be 12. This would mean adults planning to take a child under 12 to view a 12 film should consider whether the film is suitable for that child. We decided that our film should be a 12 as it contains violence and threat. I believe that many teenagers would find my film interesting and exciting to watch as many teenagers find violent films and a film about a mugging to be entertaining and enjoyable to watch. This may be the same with other age groups which are similar to the age group our film is targeting.

This diagram shows the percentage of social media users for each age rating. I feel this is relevant because it will also be a fairly accurate guideline to how many people go to the movies. My film should interest people as it may be similar to what they do or watch on social media
